2023/2024 Dates

Welcome to the 2023-2024 Summer Swimming Course Dates!

You can enrol your child or children into their swimming lessons through the website or you can email us for support in enrolling.

We have detailed descriptions of each learn to swim level to help make this process easier for you. To view the Pre School levels click here or to view the School Age levels click here

To enrol your child in lessons choose the course date that best meets your families needs and click on the Book now link. This will take you to a calender and you will be able to view the classes available. If the class you want is full it will automatically put you on a waitlist. We are able to put on more classes depending on demand. Once you find a lesson that suits you, you click on the class and you will be able to make a new reservation. Once the booking is made you will receive a confirmation email and be asked to secure your booking with the $30.00 deposit. Once this is received you will receive a reminder email or phone call two days before your child's lessons are due to start. It is that easy!

This  applies to the Clifton Terrace, Tahunanui and Rockville Swimming lessons however with these you will be taken to a calender and will have to scroll through to the start date of the course you wish to enrol. The book now link will take you to the first course start date.

Any questions please feel free to contact us either by email or phone.

PATTISON TEACHING METHOD

  • Pattison Swim School lessons are held Monday to Friday over two consecutive weeks.
  • Daily lessons allow your child’s swimming skills to advance much faster than lessons held once or twice a week.
  • This method has been proven to be the most successful way to teach a person to swim.

The routines of each class have been specifically designed on a part-whole method of teaching, and children progress through the class levels at their own rate. The part-whole method, for example, means a child with a weak kick may still be advanced to the next level, as they may have mastered the breathing and have a strong stroke. We believe the kick will correct itself given strengthening work at the higher level.
